Microsoft Office 2013, also known as Office 15, is a productivity suite developed by Microsoft for Windows. Unlike its predecessor, Office 2010, no macOS version of Office 2013 was released.
This version introduced several enhancements, including extended file format support, updated user interfaces, and support for touch-enabled devices. It is compatible with IA-32 and x64 systems and works on Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, and later versions up to Windows 10 and Windows Server 2019. Office 2013 is also pre-installed on Windows RT devices. Notably, it is the last version of Office to support the original releases of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
Development of Office 2013 began in 2010 and was completed on October 11, 2012, with its manufacturing release. The suite became generally available on January 29, 2013. Key features include integration with online services like OneDrive, Outlook.com, Skype, Viva Engage, and Flickr, along with enhanced support for Office Open XML (OOXML), OpenDocument Format (ODF), Portable Document Format (PDF), and multi-touch interfaces.
